ST Signature Bugis Middle

Located at the heart of Singapore close to Suntec and National Library. Hotel is newly opened so room looks new and modern. Room access is through their phone app, which is really advanced. Room is compact and cosy for solo traveller like me. There is an authentic Hainanese Chicken Rice store just around the corner. Taste really good and there is local teh and kopi served there as well. Overall, superb experience!

The location is priceless—just a few minutes’ walk from Bugis MRT. That means getting here from Changi Airport is easy, with just one transfer at Tanah Merah. The hotel operates without a reception desk, which is clearly stated on the booking page, so I was prepared for a self check-in. Still, I was pleasantly surprised to find someone at the lobby around 9 PM who asked if I was checking in. Although he wasn’t in uniform (which made me a bit skeptical at first), he patiently guided me through the process—connecting to the hotel Wi-Fi (which is essential for check-in) and showing me how to unlock the room door using the app. The tech-forward experience is one of the reasons I chose this place, and having someone walk me through it after a 15-hour flight was a huge bonus. When I went down around 9:30 PM, he was gone, but by then everything was sorted. In the morning around 8 AM, I noticed a different person at the lobby who also offered assistance, so it seems there is some staff presence even if it’s not a traditional front desk. Check-out was a breeze—just tap a button in the app and you’re done. Room space is definitely limited—you feel it—but that’s expected for the price and central Singapore location. As a plus, like most places in Singapore, the tap water is safe to drink.

Great location: Only 5-minute walk to Bugis Station and in an area full of eating outlets, restaurants and bars. Staff were friendly and responsive to noise issues in the wee hours of the night from a neighbouring room. Easy communication via WhatsApp which is responded to immediately 24/7.

Great location. I liked the hotel size, you’re not going to get big tour groups here. Good, free coffee. Cool-looking and easy to identify building. Can leave luggage in lobby and although anyone could walk in off the street and take it, no one does because its Singapore.

perfect position, middle of city center, Newton food center, Chinatown, Little India etc. can be reached by foot. Even in the night lot of restaurants in the near available. friendly staff and microwave is quite helpful to warm some food in the night. self check-in and check-out
